Machspeed TRIO MP3 Player, Drive
and Voice Recorder.
|
The Machspeed Trio
comes in several flavors: 128 Mbytes, 256 Mbytes or
512 Mbytes. No matter how avid of a listener you
are, for a portable device that is also a USB drive,
even the 128 MByte capacity is more than sufficient.
Take 128 and divide it by 3, roughly, and you will
get song capacity of the device. So roughly, that
amount to 43 songs for the 128 MByte version. This
device requires a AAA battery and nothing else. In
the unanimous opinion of the review staff it beats
the "why-Pod", hands down. You get cool earphones
that attach to the device via a dangle strap as well
as the earphone plug, which are very comfortable and
sound very acceptable. The kicker is, it has a
built-in equalizer, cool fade in-out mode between
songs, a shuffle mode, and neon-like light show on
its display. Forget the voice recorder. You're not
going to get it for that. But, it's there! The
battery life is decent, the controls are well laid
out; you'll be a pro in no time, and the best part
of all, no cumbersome programs to use to upload your
Trio. Just plug it into a USB port, and you get a
drive. Drag and drop MP3 files, or data, and you're
good to go. And, it's a third of the price of a
"why-Pod". Get it, and enjoy! |
