Hiro's Japanese Restaurant

 Welcome to Hiro's!

Hiro's Japanese Restaurant is nestled in North Miami Beach, Florida, a hop-skip and a jump from ritzy Aventura, and a stone-throw's away, actually, a draw bridge away, from Sunny Isles Beach.

For those of you who are not familiar with South Florida, just follow the snow-birds to Trump's new development. Once there, that would be the vicinity.

Hiro's consistently wins awards for outstanding cuisine and atmosphere, and that is no accident. In the opinion of this writer, Hiro's is one of the best Japanese restaurants anywhere! And I am not just referring to South Florida. Hiro's is simply one of the best Japanese restaurants anywhere. From a company with a product-install-base that spans from Key West to Alaska and Mexico to Manila, that is a heck of a compliment and could not be bought, at any price. If you're haven't ordered from Hiro's, you just ain't cool; cause Hiro's is one cool place to eat and hang out. The food is absolutely perfect. But when you visit South Florida and decide to come, let's say on a Tuesday night, for a late snack, at, let's say, 12:00 am, you may just have to wait a while to get seated.

The place is just perfect in every respect: from the jazzy decor and painted murals, just the right touch of neon, to excellent music, just at the right volumes, from excellent service, and discreetly placed air purifiers, to excellent, excellent food.

Speaking of food, I immediately judge a Japanese restaurant by its wasabi and ginger. Wasabi is that green mustard thing, that to the uninitiated, if it happens to appear as guacamole, well then, you better clear the table. The trick here is the consistency of its temperature levels, freshness and consistent texture. At Hiro's the wasabi is perfect, all the time, every time. The ginger is always fresh, and served separately. It's not in a jar, on the table, as in some restaurants, wet and stale. The devil is in the details, and this small detail itself, is worth a point. The rolls are just the right size, another point. If covered with masago, they're covered just with the right amount, on a perfect blend of rice, which is just the right shape, with perfect color and texture. The crab-sticks are fresh, the fish is very fresh, the avocado is very fresh and has been exposed to air just the right amount of time. Point, point, point. In other words, the food at Hiro's is perfect.

The only other thing that rivals the food, is the atmosphere and service. But wait, Hiro's also does takeout, delivery and caters. Having a cool pool party at a South Beach hotel? Well then, Hiro's is a must. A couple of clicks on eat2go and your perfect order arrives from the West Dixie location or a number of other locations coming soon.

If you even somewhat like Japanese food and haven't tasted Hiro's, the experience is strongly recommended. If you are a Sushi buff, and haven't, then you've missed out.
